Contraindications for Sculpt & Glow Holistic Rejuvenation™
General Contraindications
This treatment may not be suitable if you have:
· Uncontrolled high blood pressure or severe cardiovascular disease
· Diabetes with poor wound healing
· Autoimmune skin conditions (e.g., lupus, scleroderma, dermatomyositis)
· Neurological disorders affecting facial nerves (e.g., Bell’s palsy, trigeminal neuralgia)
· Active cancer, history of skin cancer or undergoing radiation/chemotherapy
· Epilepsy or seizure disorders
· Severe migraines triggered by facial stimulation
· Recent major surgery (within the past 6 months)
· Pacemaker or implanted electronic devices
· Bleeding disorders (e.g., haemophilia) or if taking blood thinners (e.g., warfarin)
Skin Conditions & Aesthetic Treatments
Avoid treatment if you have:
· Active skin infections, rashes, or cold sores (e.g., herpes simplex virus)
· Severe rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis on the face
· Open wounds, cuts, or recent facial trauma (must be fully healed)
· Sunburn or irritated skin
· Keloid scarring or a history of poor wound healing
· Precancerous or cancerous skin lesions
· Recent Botox or fillers (wait 2 weeks)
· Chemical peels or laser treatment (wait 4 weeks)
· RF microneedling or microneedling (wait 4 weeks)
· Thread lifts (wait 3 months)
· Recent facial surgery (medical clearance required)
Sculptural Face Lifting™ Contraindications
This manual technique may not be suitable if you have:
· Acute bacterial, viral, or fungal infections on the face or body
· Fever, flu-like symptoms, or severe inflammation
· Severe TMJ dysfunction causing acute pain or lockjaw
· Recent dentistry, implants, or infections (buccal work may be uncomfortable)
· Severe rosacea (may trigger flare-ups)
· Recent Botox or fillers (wait 2-4 weeks)
· Recent facial surgery (wait 6 months to 1 year)
Proceed with caution if you have:
· Mild rosacea or sensitive skin (gentler techniques will be used)
· Pregnancy (buccal massage may not be suitable if nausea is present)
· TMJ disorders (modifications may be required)
· Braces or dental appliances (buccal massage may be uncomfortable)
Dermalux™ LED Therapy (phototherapy) Contraindications
Red and near-infrared light therapy is safe for most individuals but should be avoided if you have:
· Active skin cancer, melanoma, or precancerous lesions
· Photosensitivity disorders (e.g., lupus, porphyria, xeroderma pigmentosum)
· Photosensitizing medications (e.g., tetracyclines, Accutane, NSAIDs, diuretics)
· Pregnancy (infrared light should be used with caution)
· Epilepsy or light-induced seizures
· Open wounds or severe inflammation
· Recent Botox or fillers (wait 24-48 hours)
Proceed with caution if you have:
· Active acne or highly sensitive skin (mild irritation may occur)
· Autoimmune conditions (consult a healthcare provider)
· Recent chemical peels, laser, or microneedling (skin must be fully healed)
· Hyperpigmentation disorders (e.g., melasma)
· Thyroid disorders (if treating the neck area, consult a doctor)
· A history of keloid scarring
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
This treatment is generally safe, but some techniques may need to be modified or avoided. Please inform me in advance so I can tailor the session to your individual needs.
